Metro Manila, Philippines – Spider-Man swings back into theaters this month as Sony Pictures released a new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, offering fans a glimpse of Peter Parker’s next challenge — a powerful unseen villain threatening New York City.
The latest trailer shows Tom Holland returning as the web-slinger as he navigates a world that no longer remembers him following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Despite being erased from the memories of his closest friends, Peter Parker continues his mission as Spider-Man while struggling to watch those he cares about move on without him.
In a statement from Columbia Pictures said that Peter’s decision to fight crime full-time sparks a transformation that “may be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves — a powerful villain no one can even see.”
“The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them,” the statement added.
Joining Holland in the cast are Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.
The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for directing Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Sony Pictures said Spider-Man: Brand New Day will open in Philippine cinemas on July 29, with advance tickets now available.
