The Gilas mainstay, who helped the team finish second in the 2013 FIBA Asia championship, will have to go through a 12-week recovery period after the surgery, according to an Instagram post by his manager Marvin Espiritu.
Earlier, Aguilar’s teammate LA Tenorio begged off from the pool from which the new team will be formed.
