Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao is now the team manager of the Letran Knights.
The news was revealed on the college’s Facebook page on Wednesday (July 1).

The Knights finished last season in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) with a 9-9 slate.
They opened this season with a drubbing 82-53 of the College of Saint Benilde Blazers.
Apart from the collegiate level, Pacquiao is also involved in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) as the playing coach of the KIA Carnival.
Letran is mentored by coach Aldin Ayo, who also functions as the assistant coach of the KIA.
