(CNN) — Ever dreamed of scoring a goal for one of the world’s top football teams?
How about scoring 500 or 501? Well, that’s what Cristiano Ronaldo did Wednesday night (Thursday morning PHT).
The Real Madrid man brought up the big 500 with a first half strike against Swedish side Malmo in the European Champions League — in his 753rd career game.
He then added a second to make sure Real claimed a 2-0 win and made it two wins out of two in this year’s competition.

It means he has equaled the record set by club legend Raul — who needed 741 games to reach that level compared to Ronaldo’s 308.
Ronaldo’s numbers are staggering — he is the all-time leading scorer in the Champions League with 82 goals.
He has scored 323 goals for Real Madrid since joining the club for $130 million in 2009.

Ronaldo’s most successful season was the 2011-12 campaign where he scored an astonishing 69 goals for club and country.
Since then he has followed it up with 59, 62 and 66 last year.
