“Japanese, Vietnamese teams to compete in PVL Invitational 2023 \n”

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 6) — Japanese and Vietnamese club teams are set to compete against local volleyball players in the Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference 2023.

The PVL announced on Thursday that Japan’s Kurashiki Ablaze and Vietnam’s Kinh Bac-Bac Ninh will be the guest teams for the mid-season tournament.

The PVL Invitational Conference 2023 kicked off last June 27, with 11 local teams competing in the elimination rounds.

Pool A is composed of the defending champions Creamline Cool Smashers, Chery Tiggo Crossovers, PLDT High Speed Hitters, Akari Power Chargers, and Gerflor Defenders.
Meanwhile, Pool B consists of Petro Gazz Angels, F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, Choco Mucho Flying Titans, Cignal HD Spikers, Farm Fresh Foxies, and Foton Tornadoes.
The two foreign guest teams will automatically advance to the round-robin semifinals along with the top two Filipino club teams in each pool.
During last year’s conference, Taiwan’s Taipei King Whales was the only guest team that competed in the tournament and eventually finished as runner-up.
