LRT-1, LRT-2 to enforce fare price adjustment starting August 2

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 31) — Commuters are reminded that fares for the LRT-1 and LRT-2 will cost more beginning August 2.

The Light Rail Transit Authority and the Light Rail Manila Corporation, operator of the LRT-2 and LRT-1 respectively, posted the new fare matrixes on Monday. Stored value card holders will pay a minimum of ₱14 and a maximum of ₱33 to ₱35 depending on the length of their journey.

Passengers using single-journey tickets, meanwhile, will pay a minimum of ₱15 to a maximum ₱35 for their trips.
