#WalangPasok: Class, work suspensions on July 27 due to ‘Egay

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 27) — Some local government units (LGU) announced class and work suspensions on Thursday, July 27, due to heavy rains brought by Typhoon Egay.

According to the state weather bureau, Egay is forecast to exit the country’s weather monitoring area on Thursday but still warned of storm surge risks in the low-lying and exposed coastal areas of Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, and portions of Isabela and Ilocos Sur.

Here are the LGUs that announced suspension of classes in all levels in public and private schools:

Cagayan

Calabarzon

Montalban, Rizal (preschool to senior high school)

Central Luzon

Angeles City

San Fernando City

Cordillera Administrative Region

Calanasan, Apayao
La Trinidad, Benguet
Baguio City (including work in government offices)

Ilocos Region

Ilocos Sur
La Union
Calasiao, Pangasinan

Dagupan City

Mimaropa

Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro (including work in government offices)

Santa Cruz, Occidental Mindoro (including work in government offices)
