
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 14) — Some local government units have announced class suspensions on Friday amid inclement weather brought by Tropical Depression Dodong.
Signal No. 1 has been raised over 16 areas in Luzon while other parts of the island may experience strong bursts of winds, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its latest bulletin.

Dodong turned into a tropical depression late Thursday night then made landfall in Dinapigue, Isabela early Friday morning, PAGASA said.
Here are the LGUs that have suspended classes:
Cagayan — pre-school to senior high school in public and private schools

Signal No. 1 is raised over Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, the northern portion of Pangasinan, the northern and central portions of Aurora, and the northern and eastern portions of Polillo Islands.
