
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 11) — Filipino-American pop singer Olivia Rodrigo topped the Billboard charts with her latest single “Vampire.”
\”Vampire, the lead single of Rodrigo’s upcoming sophomore album \” Guts,\” landed at No. 1 in Hot 100 and Global charts.
This is also her third time to top the Hot 100 following her breakthrough hit \”Driver’s License\” in January 2021, and \”Good 4 U\” in May 2021, which were both part of her debut album \”Sour.\”
According to Billboard, “Vampire” garnered 35.5 million streams, 26.3 million radio airplay impressions, and sold 26,000 in its first week since its release on June 30.
Rodrigo will release \”Guts\” on Sept. 8.
The 20-year-old singer rose to fame as an actress in the Disney musical series \”High School Musical: The Musical: The Series\” in 2019.
After releasing \”Sour\” in 2021, Rodrigo earned three Grammy awards the following year: Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance.
