
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 10) — The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 in Aklan and South Cotabato increased in the past week, data from OCTA Research showed Monday.
According to OCTA fellow Guido David, Aklan posted a 35.3% positivity rate as of July 8, up from 27.3% a week ago.South Cotabato also recorded a higher positivity rate at 21.4% from July 1’s 16.1%.
But David noted that five provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao witnessed low positivity rates—Cebu, Davao del Sur, Iloilo, Leyte, and Misamis Oriental.
