Metro Manila, Philippines – Malacañang has declared special non-working holidays in five localities across the country to allow residents to take part in local fiestas, cultural celebrations, and founding anniversary events.
Under separate proclamations issued by the Palace, special non-working days were declared in Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay; Lazi, Siquijor; Jimenez, Misamis Occidental; Patnanungan, Quezon; and Ilog, Negros Occidental.
May 18, 2026 was declared a holiday in Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay for its local celebration, while May 15 was designated a special non-working day in Lazi, Siquijor for its annual fiesta and cultural activities.
The Palace also declared June 24 a special non-working day in Jimenez, Misamis Occidental for its fiesta celebration.
Meanwhile, June 18 was declared a special non-working day in Patnanungan, Quezon for its founding anniversary, while May 16 was designated a holiday in Ilog, Negros Occidental for its own anniversary celebration.
The proclamations were signed by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto by authority of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
