Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 22) — Eligible employees of the Department of Education (DepEd) will receive a bonus not exceeding ₱3,000 in celebration of the 125th founding anniversary of the agency.
According to the DepEd Order No. 11 series of 2023, teaching and non-teaching personnel that have rendered at least one year of service in office are entitled to the anniversary bonus.This includes full-time, part-time, permanent, coterminous, provisional, temporary, casual, and contractual employees.But the agency clarified that employees who went absent without leave (AWOL) or no longer in service as of June 23 are not covered by the grant.
Teachers have been calling for Congress to certify salary increase bills as urgent.
