Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 13) — Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano has formally asked the Supreme Court (SC) “to investigate the false and troubling claims” of Makati Mayor Abby Binay on the cities’ land dispute.
In a statement on Tuesday, Cayetano said she filed before the SC an urgent Manifestation and Motion, which also seeks a show-cause order against Binay.
This move stemmed from Binay’s statement to the media that Makati’s legal team received a notice from the SC for a hearing on its urgent motion to bring the case involving the Fort Bonifacio Military Reservation areas before the en banc.
The top court, however, denied that oral arguments have been set for the issue.

The SC already ruled with finality that the disputed Fort Bonifacio Military Reservation, where Bonifacio Global City is now located, and some barangays in Makati are under the jurisdiction of Taguig City.
The Taguig mayor expressed “grave concern” over the recent developments.
