Duterte visits Brunei as SEAMEO president

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 12) — Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte is visiting Brunei Darussalam this week as president of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Council.

A statement from her office on Monday said Duterte’s three-day visit to Brunei began on June 11.

On Monday, Duterte met with Brunei Crown Prince Hai Al-Muhtadee Billah before visiting schools where she observed classes.

Duterte earlier said that she would visit Brunei and Singapore this month to learn best practices in education.
