Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 7) — Gilas Pilipinas lost its bid for a gold medal as Cambodia overwhelmed the Filipino cagers in the men’s 3×3 basketball in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games.
With a final score of 20-15, the almost all-import Cambodian team dominated the game held at the Morodok Techo National Stadium in Phnom Penh on Sunday afternoon.
Philippines’ Almond Vosotros scored 6 points. Joseph Sedurifa and Lervin Flored helped with 4 points, while Joseph Eriobu delivered 1 point. But these were not enough as Cambodia’s Pridgett Sayeedalkabir alone tallied 10 points.
Gilas settled for bronze in the 2022 SEA Games in Hanoi.
