Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) officer-in-charge Bryan Co said the audit being conducted with power distributor Meralco began Friday, and is expected to be completed in three weeks.
The results will help MIAA determine the \”various equipment needed to be upgraded, rehabilitated or purchased\” to make the terminal’s power system \”reliable and resilient.\” he noted.
Co also said MIAA has yet to determine the timeline and the budget need for the necessary upgrades at Terminal 3.
For now, the agency is looking at leasing generator sets to increase the back-up power’s capacity, he added.
