Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 7) The Department of Justice on Tuesday said it has already issued a show cause order against some Bureau of Immigration personnel after they allegedly allowed four Japanese fugitives to operate a robbery ring while inside their detention facility.

Some BI personnel will also face criminal and administrative complaints.

\”There is already an ongoing show cause order, (an) administrative case,\” said Justice Secretary Crispin Remulla in a press briefing. \”We are looking at criminal cases that will be filed for infidelity in the custody of detention prisoners…We are looking on all possible cases that can be filed on this matter.\”

Two of the four fugitives — Fujita Toshiya and Imamura Kiyoto –- were deported on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the two others were also cleared for deportation. They are Yuki Watanabe, the purported mastermind of the robbery scheme, and Tomonubu Saito.
