
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 3) — The magnitude 6 earthquake that shook Davao de Oro on Wednesday left at least 16 people hurt and several homes and buildings damaged, disaster response officials said Friday.

Two families and 97 individuals were also affected when the tremor rocked Compostela town, according to the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD).

It also reported a total of 52 damaged infrastructure – including four houses – in Davao de Oro and Davao del Norte.
‘
As of Friday morning, state seismologists have reported 745 aftershocks from to the tectonic quake.
‘
In a separate report, the Department of Education said 38 schools were damaged by the quake.
