
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 15) — The remains of Wilma Abulad Tezcan, the overseas Filipino worker who died in the devastating earthquake in Türkiye (formerly Turkey), have been brought home.

Ilayang Dupay in Luzena City, Quezon province. The city government shouldered the transportation.Tezcan is one of the two OFWs killed in the quake that also rocked Syria. The other was buried in Türkiye at the request of her husband, according to the DFA.Two other Filipinos were hurt but have since recovered.The magnitude 7.8 tremor that struck Türkiye and Syria last week left over 36,000 people dead and tens of thousands injured.
