Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 8) — The Philippines is set to host again one of the preliminary legs of the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) men’s tournament next year.
VNL on Friday announced that Manila is one of the host countries for the 3rd week of the preliminaries alongside Ljubljana in Slovenia, from June 27 to July 2.
The teams competing in the Philippines are Japan, Iran, USA, Netherlands, Brazil, Germany, France, and Canada.
But the league has yet to confirm the exact venue of the matches in Manila.
Other host cities for the men’s tournament are Antalya, Turkiye; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Ottawa, Canada; and a still to be confirmed city in Japan.
The Philippines first hosted VNL in 2022, holding preliminary matches of both men’s and women’s divisions.
Last July, the country served as one of the hosts only for the preliminary rounds of the men’s tournament.
