Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Mental health advocate Dr. Gia Sison is back in a new series of GTalks where she helps Gen Zs, represented by her co-host Fro Bro navigate the world of “adulting”.

In the first episode, Sison and Fro Bro sit down to discuss ways working students can manage stress and pressure, and still #MakeLifeSweeeet.

One of the tips she shared was avoiding multitasking. “Akala kasi ng ibang tao pag nagmu-multitask ka, okay ka. But in the end, mabu-burn out ka kasi,” she said.

Sison then taught Fro Bro the “Eisenhower Matrix,” a technique to compartmentalize priorities in quadrants. Quadrant 1 is for important and urgent tasks, Quadrant 2 is for important but not urgent tasks, Quadrant 3 is for urgent but not important tasks which you can delegate or ask help from people who can cover for you, and Quadrant 4 is for not important and not urgent tasks.

Kumbaga, delete mo na ‘yan. Kasi, deleting these tasks will not make you any less of a person. Ang importante diyan, you keep your sanity,” Sison explained.

No one said balancing work and studies is easy but there are ways we can make it work. Watch the full episode below.
