Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 22) — A high-level trade delegation to be formed by United States President Joe Biden will visit Manila in March, Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose “Babe” Manuel Romualdez said Wednesday.
“It will be led by (US) Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo,” he told CNN Philippines’ The Source.
Around 30-40 chief executives from top American companies are expected to join the trade and investment mission, and they will be coming from various industries that have business interests in the Philippines, Romualdez added.
He said Philippine officials are forming a team that will assist the delegation.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced the trade and investment mission following an official visit to the US. He participated in the 30th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders’ Meeting in San Francisco last week.
