Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 18) — Filipino talent Sophia Laforteza is set to debut with Korean entertainment agency HYBE Labels and American record label Geffen Records’ new girl group “Katseye,” HYBE announced during the live finale of talent competition “The Debut: Dream Academy” on Saturday.
Laforteza will join Lara (USA), Yoonchae (Korea), Megan (USA), Daniella (USA), and Manon (Switzerland).
\”I’ve worked so hard to be here. I appreciate everybody who has voted for me and has been supporting me since day one,\” she said during the finale episode.
The 24-year-old was called first to join the six-member group during the last episode.
Laforteza earlier earned the top spot in the third and final mission of the talent survival show, and earned the votes of two of three judges after her final performance.
She competed for the debut slot against other talented young women from South Korea, Slovakia, Japan, USA, Argentina, Australia, Belarus, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, and Brazil.
