Local execs probe water complaints in Bulacan city

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 11) — The local government of San Jose del Monte in Bulacan is looking into customer complaints on water supply issues in the city.

Consumer advocacy group Alyansa ng Maralitang San Joseño had raised concerns on the issues affecting more than 600,000 residents during a meeting with local officials, including \”unforeseeable interruptions, and the hefty cost of water services.\”

San Jose del Monte Mayor Arthur Robes said the local government will coordinate with water concessionaires to address the matter.

This development came as Bulacan residents rejected San Jose del Monte’s bid to become a highly urbanized city in a plebiscite held simultaneously with the Barangay and Sangguinang Kabataan Elections.
