
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 30)— The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) announced toll rate adjustments for the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) that would be implemented in two rounds, with the first tranche taking effect on Friday, Nov. 3.
\”The provisional toll rate adjustments shall be implemented on a staggered basis to curb the existing inflationary situation and minimize the impact thereof to the tollway users,\” it said in a statement on Sunday.
The MCX hike are as follows:
Class 1: from ₱17 to ₱18
Class 2: from ₱35 to ₱37
Class 3: from ₱52 to ₱55
The board also separately announced its approval of toll rate adjustments for the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).
Effective Nov. 3, motorists traveling from Alabang to Calamba will pay an additional ₱10 for Class 1, P20 for Class 2, and ₱30 for Class 3 vehicles.
Those traveling from Calamba to Sto. Tomas, Batangas will pay an additional ₱4, ₱6, and ₱8 for Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3, respectively.
