NLEX to deploy over 1,500 personnel for BSKE, Undas rush

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 24) — The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) on Wednesday said it will deploy over 1,500 personnel in anticipation of a higher volume of vehicles during the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) and Undas.

It said motorists can expect heightened patrol visibility and toll plaza assistance from Oct. 27 to Nov. 6.

\”For northbound, we are expecting the surge of travelers in the afternoon of Oct. 27 (Friday), until early afternoon of Oct. 28 (Saturday) and in the morning of Oct. 30 (Monday) and Nov. 1 (Wednesday),\” NLEX Corporation President J. Luigi L. Bautista said in a statement.

He added that they also expect heavier traffic along the southbound area on early Monday morning, Nov. 6.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority also suspended the number coding scheme on Oct. 30 and Nov. 1 and 2.

Road construction and lane closures are also suspended from Oct. 27 to Nov. 6, NLEX said.

Earlier, the company announced increases in toll rates at the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).
