
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 2) — Filipino cyclist Patrick Bren Coo copped the Philippines’ ninth medal in the 19th Asian Games after clinching a bronze-medal finish despite enduring a bad crash early in the race.
The Philippine bet registered 39.076 seconds in the tournament on Sunday, lagging only behind Japan’s Asuma Nakai (37.542) and Thailand’s Komet Sukprasert (38.478).

Coo fell off his bike in the race’s first leg and finished last, scraping the upper part of his right thigh in the process.
The cyclist, however, bounced back in the following event to book a ticket in the deciding high-velocity race held at the Chun’an Jieshou Sports Centre BMX Course.
