Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 19) – The government has released ₱3 billion in fuel subsidies for 1.36 million transportation sector workers amid volatile oil prices.
Here are some gas stations where Public Utility Vehicle drivers can use their financial aid, according to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB):
• Total Philippines Corp.
• Phoenix Petroleum
• Unioil Petroleum Philippines, Inc.
• Seaoil Philippines, Inc.
• Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp.
• PTT Philippines Corp.
• Caltex / Chevron Philippines, Inc.
• Jetti Petroleum, Inc.
The board said drivers can more easily pay for oil products at these establishments with their Pantawid Pasa Card or their Fuel Subsidy Cards.
One-time fuel subsidies were given to modernized PUV drivers (₱10,000), drivers of traditional four-wheel PUVs (₱6,500), delivery riders (₱1,200); and tricycle drivers (₱1,000).
LTFRB data as of Oct. 11 showed 120,496 beneficiaries have received nearly ₱787.5 million out of the P3 billion total subsidy.
Earlier this week, oil companies implemented a mixed set of fuel adjustments. Gasoline prices went up by 55 centavos per liter, while diesel prices decreased by 95 centavos.
