
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 6) — Water in three major dams in Bulacan have reached spilling level as rain continues to drench parts of Luzon and the Visayas, authorities said on Friday.

A flood advisory by state weather bureau PAGASA said the water level of Angat Dam rose to 216.02 meters, above its normal high level of 212.00 meters.

Meanwhile, the water level of Ipo Dam reached 101.25 meters, slightly exceeding its normal high level of 101.00 meters.
‘
Water in Bustos Dam also reached spilling level at 17.40 meters, above its normal high level of 17 meters.
‘
The Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office advised residents near the swollen Angat River to be alert for possible flooding.
‘
Among those given warning are residents of Norzagaray, Angat, San Rafael, Bustos, Pulilan, Plaridel, Calumpit, Paombong and Hagonoy.
‘
As of Thursday evening, Ipo and Angat dams were opened to reduce their volume of water.
‘
Earlier, several areas in Bulacan suspended classes due to the bad weather.
