Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 13) — NBA star Jordan Poole, who helped power the Golden State Warriors to another championship last year, encouraged young Filipino basketball fans to continue reaching their limits by challenging themselves.

“Just challenge yourself. It’s not really about anybody else but about being the best possible player you can be,” Poole said in an exclusive with CNN Philippines’ The Final Word.

“When things become hard, find ways to get better and improve. Find ways to persevere and push through,” he added.

The 23-year-old guard played a key role in the Warriors’ 2022 title run – averaging 17 points on just above 50% shooting from the field.

“It’s amazing. Just being able to be in something so special. Be able to be in the history books with such a great group of guys. It was extremely exciting,” Poole said.
‘
His contribution led to the team signing him to a four-year, $140-million extension last October.
