Seven areas under ‘danger’ heat index on April 30

Metro Manila, Philippines – The state weather bureau reported that seven areas are under the “danger” heat index today, April 30.

Areas under this category may experience temperatures between 42–51°C.

These areas include:

Sangley Point, Cavite City, Cavite – 43°C

Aborlan, Palawan – 43°C

NAIA, Pasay City, Metro Manila – 42°C

Dagupan City, Pangasinan – 42°C

Cubi Point, Subic Bay, Olongapo City – 42°C

Dumangas, Iloilo – 42°C

Guiuan, Eastern Samar – 42°C

Only the Cordillera Administrative Region was classified under the “not hazardous” heat index category, with temperatures below 27°C nationwide.
