Metro Manila, Philippines – The Department of Energy on Friday led the groundbreaking ceremony for The Energy Museum in Taguig City to address energy literacy.
The agency said the museum will “strengthen public understanding of the Philippine energy sector” and serve as a model and hub for energy education.
Secretary Sharon Garin led the ceremony at the DOE Energy Center.
“We need an informed public about energy,” she said.
The museum, situated near schools and learning institutions, will provide hands-on learning experience for students, educators, and communities.
The DOA said the facility will also showcase the evolving power system by “highlighting local power projects, DOE programs, and the realities of delivering reliable and affordable power.”
“This museum will be where our energy story is learned, shared, and advanced for generations,” Garin said.
