
Metro Manila, Philippines — June Mar Fajardo won the Best Player of the Conference award — the 11th in his illustrious career — in the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup.
The 34-year-old Cebu native received the top individual honor on Sunday before Game 4 of the Governors’ Cup finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Fajardo was the runaway winner after tallying 989 statistical points.
Barangay Ginebra’s high-leaping star Japeth Aguilar came in second with 664 statistical points, while his teammate Scottie Thompson trailed at third with 465 statistical points.
Meanwhile, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson of the TNT Tropang captured his second Best Import award. He accumulated 1,221 statistical points.
