Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 23) — The Akari Chargers will be under Raffy Mosuela ahead of the 2024 season of the Premier Volleyball League.
The club team announced on Tuesday that Mosuela will be the Chargers’ interim coach after last year’s resignation of Brazilian head coach Jorge Souza de Brito.
Mosuela was part of de Brito’s coaching staff.
“We’re right behind you as you lead the charge, Coach Raffy. It’s time for an electrifying season,” said the Akari Chargers in a Facebook post.
Mosuela, a former player for the Philippine Air Force volleyball team, said he is hoping to lead the Chargers to a good start in the season-opening All-Filipino Conference which is expected to kick off in February.
The Chargers are on a mission to improve on their 7th place finish in the last conference.
The team recently acquired Gretchel Soltones and Ced Domingo to beef up its roster.
