Valencia City, Bukidnon (CNN Philippines, January 21) — Davao de Oro was placed under a state of calamity due to severe flooding and landslides caused by heavy rains.

The local government declared the state of calamity on Saturday night following the passage of a Sangguniang Panlalawigan resolution.
‘2’: ‘contentWidth’: ‘100%’ ’embedCode’: ‘ <p>According to provincial disaster authorities, <a href="https://www.cnnphilippines.com/regional/2024/1/20/davao-de-oro-landslide-death-toll.html">12 people died</a> in recent rainfall-induced landslides in Monkayo and Maragusan. Meanwhile 51,140 households, or 182,653 individuals, were affected by heavy rains throughout the province.</p> <p>Their initial assessment showed that agricultural damage is at ₱130 million, affecting over 3,700 farmers and fish farmers.</p> <p><a href="https://www.cnnphilippines.com/regional/2024/1/20/davao-del-norte-state-of-calamity.html">Davao del Norte</a> also declared a state of calamity on
