
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 15) — Another round of fuel price hikes will take effect beginning Tuesday, oil companies announced.
In separate advisories on Monday, Cleanfuel and Seaoil said the per-liter cost of diesel will go up by 90 centavos while gasoline’s price will be 30 centavos more per liter.
Petro Gazz, Jetti, Caltex and Unioil said they will also implement the same oil price adjustments
Kerosene will also increase by 90 centavos per liter, Seaoil said.
The price increases of Seaoil, Jetti and Petro Gazz will take effect at 6 a.m. while Cleanfuel’s adjustments will be implemented at 4:01 p.m. Caltex said its price adjustments will be imposed at 12:01 a.m.
Other oil companies are expected to make their announcements at the start of the week.
The Department of Energy’s Jan. 9 data showed that year-to-date adjustment for diesel and kerosene is at a net decrease of 25 centavos per liter and ₱1.30 per liter, respectively.
According to reports of CNN International, the attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea have affected the global supply chain, including the cost of petroleum products.
