Metro Manila, Philippines – Motorists will see a mixed movement in oil prices in the third week of December, industry players announced Monday, Dec. 15.

Starting Tuesday, Cleanfuel and Seaoil said there will be another upward adjustment in gasoline by P0.20 per liter.

Diesel and kerosene will go down by P0.20 per liter.

Oil firms implemented a big hike in gasoline prices last week. Diesel and kerosene costs were unchanged.

The Department of Energy earlier attributed this week’s movement to easing oil prices as investors shifted focus back to Russia-Ukraine peace talks.

Another factor was Iraq’s restored production in one of its oilfields.

As of Dec. 2, the DOE said gasoline has a year-to-date total net increase at P19.90 per liter, P21.75 per liter for diesel, and P6.75 per liter for kerosene.
