Aleah Finnegan leaps to SEA Games gold in women’s vault

Metro Manila, Philippines – Aleah Finnegan soared to the Philippines’ first gymnastics gold medal in the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games on Thursday, Dec. 11, in Thailand.

The 22-year-old Finnegan topped the women’s vault event with a score of 13.400. 

This is her third gold medal after taking home two in the SEA Games held in Vietnam in 2022.

The Philippines now has five gold medals following the victories of taekwondo jin Justin Kobe Macario in poomsae and the swimming team in the 4x100m women’s freestyle relay on Wednesday, Dec. 10 and the twin triumphs of Kimberly Custodio and Dean Roxas in jiu-jitsu earlier today.
