Metro Manila, Philippines – Per-liter prices of gasoline will rise anew starting Tuesday, Dec. 9, while diesel and kerosene costs will remain unchanged this week.

Cleanfuel and Seaoil announced on Monday, Dec. 8, that gasoline will go up by P1.20 per liter this week.

Oil firms implemented big-time rollbacks on diesel and kerosene last week, while a slight upward adjustment of P0.20 for gasoline to start December.

The Department of Energy (DOE) earlier attributed the possible price movement this week to geopolitical concerns such as the Ukraine attack on Russia’s oil infrastructure and the rising tensions between the United States and Venezuela.

The DOE also said there was a surplus on global crude oil supply.

As of Dec. 2, the agency said gasoline has a year-to-date total net increase at P19.90 per liter, diesel at P21.75 per liter, and kerosene at P6.75 per liter.
