(CNN Philippines) — Following a dismal 0-2 start, the San Miguel Beermen are now on a roll thanks in large part to team chemistry, according to June Mar Fajardo.
“Siguro nakukuha na namin (yung gusto ni coach na mangyari sa team),” said Fajardo moments after their Sunday’s (May 24) 100-89 win over the Star Hotshots in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governors’ Cup.

San Miguel Beer is now on the same page, he added.
“Nag-uusap kami lagi sa practice at sa court. Lagi kami nagmi-meet,” the 6-10 behemoth said.
“(Ang pinag-usapan namin during the break) kailangan namin ma-execute ang mga plays namin, wag basta-basta mag-give up, at i-share ang bola.”
The Beermen did just that, and the result was a winning streak stretching to three games in the season-ending conference.
San Miguel coach Leo Austria echoed the sentiments of his prized big man.
“We’re lucky we won. Credit to the players because they are focused. We’re on the same page now,” said Austria, who led the Beermen to the Philippine Cup championship.
Fajardo hopes his team will be able to sustain this momentum.
“Sana tuloy-tuloy na. Sana diretso na yung magandang nilalaro namin,” he said.
San Miguel will test the mettle of undefeated Barako Bull Energy on Wednesday (May 27).
