Johnson averaged 17.4 points, while shooting almost 50-percent from the field, for the Austin Spurs in the 2014-15 season.
He was selected as the 36th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings, but was immediately shipped to the Indiana Pacers.
During his time with the Pacers, the 26-year-old cager had stints in the D-League. In 2014 he returned to the Kings but shortly after played overseas before returning to the D-League.
Johnson will get at least a week to train with his new team before Ginebra begins their Governors’ Cup campaign against Alaska on May 8.
