Gasoline, diesel prices up anew this week

Gasoline pumps at fuel stations (NewsWatch Plus File)

Metro Manila, Philippines – Motorists will have to pay more for gasoline and diesel as oil companies will implement another price hike starting Tuesday, Nov. 18.

In separate advisories, CleanFuel and SeaOil said that gasoline and diesel prices will both increase by P1.20 per liter.

Meanwhile, kerosene prices will not move this week.

A price freeze on kerosene has been set after the declaration of a state of national calamity due to Typhoon Tino (international name: Kalmaegi). After the onslaught of “Tino” in the Visayas, Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung-wong) hit several areas in Luzon.

Last week, firms agreed to defer the upward adjustments in prices of gasoline and diesel in typhoon-hit areas.
