Davao City (CNN Philippines) — Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is not at all surprised with the proposed tactical alliance of President Benigno Aquino III.
In a press conference in Davao City Friday evening (May 6), Marcos said he had received information of a “Plan B” where an impeachment move will be made against survey frontrunner Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte should the Davao mayor win.

This, Marcos said, is the reason why Malacañang is conditioning the mind of the public that Liberal Party’s Leni Robredo is already leading the vice presidential race.

Marcos said the best defense of a possible impeachment against Duterte would be him as vice president.
He said he would never support any impeachment effort against Duterte. And with him as vice president, the Liberal Party members in Congress would not dare impeach Duterte since it would be a Marcos that would replace the president.
If he wins, Marcos however said he would also not support any move to run after President Benigno Aquino III and put him in jail.
He said it’s time to end this vicious cycle of running after the past administration and putting them behind bars as what happened to former presidents Joseph Estrada and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
