
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — A fire razed a candy factory in Brgy. San Rafael, Navotas late Sunday night (May 1).
The blaze, which is believed to be caused by faulty wiring, struck around 10 p.m. at the ground floor of the Columbian Food Product Company.
The fire lasted more than eight hours and reached a Task Force Echo alert at 12 a.m.
Authorities declared the fire under control at 9:37 a.m. on Monday. No injuries or deaths have been reported.
Firefighters had to use chemical foam to prevent the fire from spreading to houses near the area.
