Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — San Miguel Beermen put Meralco Bolts’ unbeaten start to a screeching halt with a 94-86 win in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup in Legazpi City on Saturday (March 5).
Import Tyler Wilkerson, who wrapped up the game with a buzzer-beating triple, tallied 27 points for the Beermen.
The coach Leo Austria-led squad dealt Meralco its first setback in six outings.
Meanwhile, the Beermen rolled on to their third straight win for a 3-1 win-loss record.
Arinze Onuaku had 28 markers for the Bolts.
