Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — TNT KaTropa dealt the Blackwater Elite their first setback in the 2016 PBA Philippine Cup, 99-92, on Friday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Jayson Castro showed the way for TNT in his first game of the season with 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
Mo Tautuaa added 20 points and four rebounds for KaTropa.
Meanwhile, rookie sensation Mac Belo once again paced the Elite with 21 markers.
TNT outrebounded Blackwater, 52-43, to capture its second straight victory.
Both squads are now tied in the standings with a 2-1 win-loss slate.
