
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday said Typhoon “Igme” with international name “Chaba,” is expected to bring in moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms to the country.
As of 4:00 a.m., PAGASA located the center of Typhoon “Igme,” 1,130 km East of Calayan, Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of up to 130 kph near the center, and gustiness of up to 160 kph.
PAGASA said the typhoon will not make landfall in any part of the country.

“Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over the regions of Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Caraga,” according to PAGASA weather bulletin.
“Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country,” it added.
The weather bureau also said moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the eastern section of Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the Southwest to South will prevail over the rest of Luzon.
Typhoon “Igme” is forecast to move Northwest at 25 kph.
