Missing 17-year-old student in Baguio found dead

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 7) — A teenage boy in Baguio reported missing was found dead in a creek on Thursday, the Baguio City Police Office said.

City police chief Ramil Saculles said 17-year-old Vaughn Dicang, a Grade 12 student from University of Baguio Science High School, was found by his relatives at the Balacbac creek in Barangay Sto. Tomas.

May observed na gasgas on Vaughn, pero inaantay pa ang doktor, wala pa silang makitang external injury initially,” Saculles said.

[Translation: Vaughn had scratches, but we are still waiting for the doctor. They did not initially see an external injury.]

According to a police report, Dicang left their house on September 1 and was missing since then.

Chief Insp. Chester Nitron of the Scene of the Crime Operatives said Dicang was in a “state of advance decomposition.”

The body is at St. Peter Funeral Homes for autopsy.

On Monday, Van Dicang, Vaughn’s brother, posted details of the missing boy on his Facebook page.
