Manila (CNN Philippines Life) — This week, get your art fix by attending exhibit openings or going to the ones you might have missed out on in the last few weeks.

Opening this week

Alfredo and Isabel Aquilizan’s “High Noon at Cagayan Garden” (August 15, Tuesday)

Catch husband and wife duo Alfredo and Isabel Aquilizan’s new show at Bellas Artes Outpost (2/F The Alley at Karrivin, 2316 Chino Roces Ave., Makati City) tomorrow, August 15, at 7 p.m. “Cagayan Garden” looks back onto Alfredo’s childhood in Cagayan and marries this personal history with his and Isabel’s “artistic concerns with displacement, change, memory and community.” Following a residency at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan with their children, the Aquilizans have created a garden made from collected materials during their stay. The show is curated by Diana Campbell. For more information, check the Facebook event page.

Eric Zamuco’s “Almost Not” and Frank Callaghan’s “Search/Light” (August 17, Thursday)

Two new solo shows are opening at Silverlens Galleries on August 17, Thursday, at 6 p.m. Catch Eric Zamuco’s “Almost Not” — contemplations “on the thresholds of meaning reached through new associations between objects and their recontextualizations,” this time by way of military field gurney stretchers — and photographer Frank Callaghan’s “Search/Light,” an expansion of his oeuvre of “night shooting.”

Silverlens Galleries is located at 2263 Don Chino Roces Ave. Ext., Makati City. For more information, visit the Silverlens Facebook page.
