#WalangPasok: List of class suspensions for July 29

The following have declared the suspension of classes for July 29:

National Capital Region

Malabon (all levels)

Marikina (all levels)

Valenzuela (all levels)

Bataan (all levels)

Bulacan

Meycauayan (all levels)

Rizal

Cainta (all levels)

Taytay (all levels)

Some schools have also suspended classes:

Navotas Polytechnic College

Governor Andres Pascual College

Philippine Normal University (graduate level)

St. Jude College Manila (all levels except MedTech IMLS Program)

Pambayang Dalubhasaan ng Marilao

Although Typhoon Gorio slightly accelerated on its way out of the Philippines late Friday night, it has further strengthened, thus intensifying the southwest monsoon (habagat).

Gorio continues to move northwest towards Taiwan at 17 kilometers per hour, compared to an earlier 15 kph speed.

Its maximum sustained winds and gustiness also increased to 130 kph and 160 kph, respectively — from a previous of 120 kph and 145 kph.
